<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lisa has contributed to the team for five months so far. Fun fact &#8211; she loves to travel with her family and has been all over the world! One of her favorite quotes is “The world is a book and those who don’t travel only read one page.”</span></p>
<h3><b>WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT NETELIXIR?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I really enjoy the people and culture at NetElixir,” Lisa shared. “We have an extremely performance driven team that knows how to have fun, too. I have worked in various organizations in my past and when it comes down to happiness, it is the people who really make for a great work environment. We have a great team with varied skill sets and passion for success and delivering results.”</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: I spent the past 18 years in retail eCommerce for Fortune 500 companies such as Lowe’s, QVC, The Limited Brands, and Charming Shoppes. I also founded and ran a premier online consignment company for busy parents.</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ASPECT OF YOUR JOB?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: I love bringing my eCommerce and retail knowledge to help our retail clients achieve their goals with insights and learning.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE IN COLLEGE BREAKING INTO THE JOB MARKET?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Give 100% and learn as much as you can, go above and beyond and push yourself. Find a mentor that can coach and guide you. </span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT PROFESSION, OTHER THAN YOUR OWN, WOULD YOU LIKE TO ATTEMPT?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: When I was growing up, I wanted to be a pediatrician. I love working with children.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST SCREEN NAME?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: My first screen name was my Twitter handle “Jainie,” which was my nickname and a spin-off of my maiden name (Jain).”</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE OR BOOK (OR BOTH)?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: I love comedies and light-hearted movies. “Tommy Boy” is one of my favorites with Chris Farley. I start lots of books and never get around to finishing them but I have an affinity to author Jhumpa Lahiri. I have read all her books. </span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE GAME?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: I’ve dabbled in Minecraft a bit but growing up we had the old school Nintendo and loved to master The Legend of Zelda and Mario Brothers. Two of my current favorite games are Risk and Ticket to Ride. I play strategy games with my family all of the time. When my son was five, he taught me how to play chess with him!</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO SOLVE?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Challenges in the retail eCommerce industry.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHO WAS YOUR CHILDHOOD HEROES?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Christa McAuliffe, the first teacher in space, who was on the Challenger Spacecraft that blew up right after launch.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT WORD OR NOISE DO YOU LOVE?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: The sound of waves in the ocean and the sounds of being underwater. I am a certified PADI scuba diver and enjoy diving when I have the opportunity. I have done dives in Seychelles, Mexico, Maldives, and the Caribbean. When I can’t dive, I love to snorkel with my kids.</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO THE CLIENT SERVICES SIDE OF DIGITAL MARKETING?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: I’ve spent many years in retail eCommerce in leadership positions and know the space well. I had the opportunity to meet Udayan about 10 years ago while I was managing an agency RFP for a performance search partner at Lowe’s. I’ve always admired NetElixir and the growth of the company over the last 15 years and glad we reconnected.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: HOW HAS YOUR EDUCATION PLAYED A ROLE IN YOUR SUCCESS AS A LE</b><b>ADER IN RETAIL MARKETING?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Education has played a huge role in my career. In addition to real-world experience and knowledge gained, I attended a school with a vast professional network, which opened up many career opportunities along the way.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I completed both my undergraduate program in International Business and Marketing and my MBA at Penn State University. Prior to attending college, I knew I wanted to pursue a double major with an international focus to effectively relate to international companies. As part of my International Business program, I had the opportunity to study abroad. I spent the entire summer prior to my program backpacking through Europe. Come August, I was ready for Business School at Maastricht University in The Netherlands. I learned so much about other cultures during my time in Europe and was exposed to different teaching methods at our university that focused on problem-based learning. It was a great experience working in team-based environments. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">After working for a couple of years at QVC, I completed my MBA which really helped me to think with a different mindset and further my career advancement.</span></p>

<p><b>“</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">I started in the broadcast industry in advertising sales,” Paul said. “I loved selling sports sponsorships, Olympics, etc. and then moved to the Internet side and search engines. Then I got into the search marketing agency side with sales responsibilities.”</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: The Internet. I used to print reports in the mid-1990s and bring [them] to clients who had never seen them before. I was also an early adopter of email when many people did not have email yet.</span></p>

That’s why we’ve recently grown our Sales team with the addition of an ambitious individual who happens to love food as much as the rest of us do. In this edition of our </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Employee Spotlight</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> series, we’ll get to know Sanam, our Director of Digital Sales, who will help us strengthen our relationships with clients and continue to meet their ever-changing needs. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is Sanam’s first year at NetElixir. Fun fact &#8211; she’s been to 24 countries! </span></p>
<h3><b>WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE NETELIXIR?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I was a Senior Account Manager at Microsoft,” Sanam said. “I worked with the strategic end of the business, where there were Fortune 500 companies and lots of retail customers. When I had first started working with Microsoft, I worked with small to mid-sized businesses as well as the mid-market segment.”</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHY DID YOU CHOOSE NETELIXIR?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A:  As soon as I walked in the door for my interview, I was really able to feel the culture and how warm and friendly everybody was. I saw how fanatically analytical everybody was and that really resonated with me and who I am. I was just really excited to join the company!</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY NEEDED FOR SUCCESS?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Passion. I think if you’re passionate about what you’re doing, you will become successful, no matter what it is.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: My first job was an office admin for a law firm that my dad’s friend owned. It was a lot of filing and things of that nature, which I guess was a lot more glamorous than a lot of my friends’ first jobs (working in a grocery store and things like that).</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT PROFESSION, OTHER THAN YOUR OWN, WOULD YOU LIKE TO ATTEMPT?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: If I wasn’t the Director of Digital Sales, I would love to be a fitness instructor. I love motivating people. I love staying fit and working out. I feel like fitness instructors do that. They help people. They motivate people. They get people excited to meet whatever goals that they want to. I would also love to be a restaurant owner. I’m a huge foodie. One of my hobbies is cooking, so I would love to cook for people and make people happy through food.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: IF YOU COULD BE A SUPERHERO, WHAT WOULD YOUR SUPERPOWERS BE?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: My superpower would be flying. Birds soar above everybody and they have such a beautiful view.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE VIDEO GAME?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: My favorite video game as a kid was Mario Kart. I loved racing everybody. Now, I have an Xbox and sometimes I play Mortal Kombat, but I love taking the fitness classes on the Kinect–they’re awesome.</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED TO ACCOMPLISH IN THIS ROLE?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Identifying new clients for NetElixir. I’m excited to work with clients and identify what their goals are and make sure we hit those goals, whether it’s revenue or other KPIs. I want to make sure we’re able to exceed our clients’ expectations. Also, I’m looking forward to building relationships with not only clients but also my teammates and peers. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tauseef has been with NetElixir for five years and counting! Fun fact &#8211; he has gone skydiving and is great at solving Rubik&#8217;s cubes. He says doing these activities at the same time would be fun but he hasn’t tried it&#8230;yet! </span></p>
<p><b>YOU TRANSITIONED FROM THE HYDERABAD OFFICE TO THE PRINCETON OFFICE. HOW WAS THAT TRANSITION? </b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“It was a pretty smooth transition,” Tauseef said. “At the end of the day, NetElixir is one, big family and we have a really strong culture of supporting each other. I’m blessed and thankful for all of my colleagues in the Princeton office for making it really smooth and easy for me. Culturally, it was a big shift. I have had a great journey so far but every day is still a learning opportunity.”</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT NETELIXIR?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A:  I think working at NetElixir gives me the opportunity to have a real-world impact on retailers. It gives me an opportunity to understand the nuances of multiple markets and industries, which is a learning like no other.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY NEEDED FOR SUCCESS?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Firstly, understanding the concept of success. Success is not a milestone. It is a journey. It is a day-in and day-out experience. I think the most important things are being able to learn, the willingness to learn new things, and being able to adapt to new opportunities.</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: IF YOU WERE A FICTIONAL CHARACTER, WHO WOULD BEST REPRESENT YOU?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Mr. Sherlock Holmes. He tries to find the truth at all costs and the thing I associate most with me (and I’m sure my wife would agree) is I’m not a very orderly person so I don’t really care about the methods but there’s always a method to my madness.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: IF YOU COULD HAVE DINNER WITH ANY 3 PEOPLE (DEAD, ALIVE, REAL, OR FICTIONAL) &#8211; WHO WOULD THEY BE? </b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Mr. Sherlock Holmes would be number one and Mr. Hercule Poirot would be the second. They have the zeal to define and arrive at the final truth and both of them have their own very contrasting methods. So when Arthur Conan Doyle made Sherlock Holmes and when Ms. Agatha Christie made Hercule Poirot, it was a conscious act of keeping them with a separate personality. It would give me an opportunity to learn the differences in traits while also going in the right direction of the pursuit of truth. The third would probably be personal. It would most likely be family&#8211;my wife and my daughter. I would love to have dinner with them any given day. </span></p>

<h3><b>Q: TELL US ABOUT ONE OF YOUR BEST DAYS AS DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL MARKETING. </b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: It’s always great when you hear some stories of real-time impact you’ve been able to make on retailers. One such incident was a client coming back to me and saying, “Hey Tauseef, you know what? Because of a promotional event, we had to hire additional hands on board. We usually hire them for the holiday season. We keep them on staff for eight weeks and then we let them go. But, thanks to you and your team the volume of sales has gone up so dramatically that we have now made them permanent employees.” Knowing that we made an impact on at least at least four lives on that given day was nothing like ever before. It is definitely one of the happiest days I’ve seen in this role.</span></p>

<p><b>WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ASPECT OF YOUR JOB? </b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I love the way it changes so fast,” Hala said. “I’m a huge fan of researching everything, so the dynamics of my job are so consistently interchangeable and they keep changing so fast so unless and until you keep up with the algorithm updates and all the new things coming into the digital industry, you’ll fall back.”</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT NETELIXIR?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I love the flexibility I have here. The people are great. They’re friendly. There’s no hierarchical or authoritarian sort of culture so it’s great being able to make your own rules and as long as you’re providing the deliverables, everything works out. </span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT ARE YOU COMPLETELY FANATICAL ABOUT?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I love to read. Unless and until I read at night, I cannot fall asleep. It can be 2 in the night, it can be 12 in the night, and if I get a good book, I end up reading it the whole night. The mornings don’t always turn out to be good but I </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">have</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to read.</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: DO YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC GENRE THAT YOU LOVE?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I read pretty much everything. You can hand me a biography, a historical book&#8211;I would read research on science or something new that’s coming out. I’ve even read young adult vampire fiction. Anything that catches my eye, I read.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GAME?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Scrabble is fun for me. Math totally stumps me&#8211;I cannot do anything dealing with numbers. It drives me nuts. Words fascinate me so words are what I really stick to and if I’m playing games or anything it’s mostly to do with words. I always failed at Monopoly.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: IS SCRABBLE SOMETHING YOU PICKED UP IN RECENT YEARS OR HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR A LONG TIME?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">No, it’s always been since I was very young. Words really came easily to me. I was always found at the library even though I wasn’t a big nerd and I would sit with the librarian. We would just end up playing Scrabble together. </span></p>
<h3><b>Q: HOW DID YOU END UP IN SEO?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: While I was doing copy editing, I started in advertising. I realized that’s not where I could really succeed because I was not the most diplomatic of people and it’s a very, very hierarchical culture in advertising. I was not really cutthroat so I ended up copy editing for a startup Internet company. As the digital world kept changing so fast, especially during that time, the trends were completely changing. Then, Google came up and organic search was something that we looked at. At that point, it was all (about) duplicate content. When SEO really started to become more sophisticated as duplicate content was getting penalized, that became fascinating. You’re like, how do you keep up? So I created my own affiliate websites, which was huge at that time, and tried to get that ranked. That’s how I fell into SEO.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHY IS SEO IMPORTANT?</b></h3>
<p>SEO is basically free marketing, right? You might hire an agency and they’re charging just an upfront fee so you could end up making $1 ROI or it could be $20 ROI. It really depends.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">SEO is going more intent-based and everything is becoming more personalized. It’s imperative that you really understand your customer, the customer journey, how each channel mixes with each other, how they impacting each other. It’s really essential to value SEO as a long-term strategy rather than a short-term win. You look at social, you look at PPC&#8211;it’s all based on per click, especially if you’re doing paid SEO. Organic is different. Organic, in any channel, is really a long-term strategy. You’re building your brand’s reputation and if you’re not looking at your brand’s reputation, you’re really not going to last long.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: HOW DO SEO AND PAID SERVICES WORK TOGETHER?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As I said, SEO is really a long-term strategy. You can’t have a short-term vision or just manipulate different algorithm trends and say, “Hey, I’m gonna do this, this month, and I’m gonna get experts and increase in traffic and then I’m gonna die forever.” You really need to create that long-term strategy and again, (in terms of) marketing, if you’re building your brand, it’s not gonna be built overnight. You have to create first the information funnel, then you have to create that awareness and then you have to lead into it. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Paid and SEO work together, along with social and Amazon, if you take Amazon itself for retailers. Each of those channels has an impact on the other. First-click attribution, last click attribution, data-driven attribution&#8211;all of those different marketing segments work together. If the paid team is working on a certain campaign and they have specific keyword lists they’re working on, you can have a synonymous list for organic as well. While they’re promoting specific campaigns, you’re building the SEO base for that same campaign so that within the next three months, you’ve got a better ranking in terms of SEO, so a lot of clicks that were attributed to PPC are now in SEO. You’re reducing your cost per value in PPC and now you can start working on those generic keywords that are very high competition that might have a higher ROI as well. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manish has been with NetElixir for close to six years. Fun fact &#8211; he loves movies. He says that when he likes a particular movie, he watches it repeatedly &#8211; up to </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">15 times</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; and he always feels as excited to view it as he did the first time!</span></p>
<p><b>WHAT KEEPS YOU INTERESTED IN SEARCH MARKETING?</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“With the advent of artificial intelligence and machine learning, there is this big shift towards understanding a customer’s context through hundreds of signals that are available online,” he said. “Six years back, it was all about keywords, campaigns, maybe ads.  But fast forward to 2018, it’s all about the moment that the customer is in and using all of these signals to understand how qualified each customer really is.”</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT NETELIXIR?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: There are several things that I like about working at NetElixir, but I’ll share some of the top ones. The way NetElixir empowers me to solve problems and make an impact is really amazing. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At times it is not even my core area of expertise but NetElixir tends to trust my intent in solving some of these core problems and that really matters a lot. It’s also a group of really passionate people that I work with. They are from various industries and varying levels of professional experience. You constantly have to raise the bar to keep interacting with them and solve problems as a group.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY NEEDED FOR SUCCESS?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: The ability to respect. Respecting what you do by doing it right and respecting people who work with you, including your clients and your colleagues, by prioritizing their best interests. I believe success is a natural outcome. </span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT ARE YOU COMPLETELY FANATICAL ABOUT?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Rules and discipline. If there’s one thing that I could wish for it would be for everyone to follow established protocols and rules so that there is a lot more order around us.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE AND WHY?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: My favorite movie is called The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. It captures the endless possibility of what human perseverance can do. It’s a story of a guy who is paralyzed completely and still ends up writing his own story with the ability to blink just one eye.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: As the Director of Paid Media, I have the opportunity to work with multiple teams that service roughly over 130 clients across various verticals like apparel, home and decor, online gifting, and food and gourmet and across multiple channels like search, social media, and marketplaces. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This allows me to share best practices and new product features from our partners at Google, Bing, Amazon, and Facebook and take feedback from our teams to these partners. This really helps me the most when I work with new business development teams, where I get an opportunity to look at multiple businesses and come up with a solution spanning multiple channels that resonates with the prospect. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sam has been with NetElixir for a year as a part of our LXRGuide team. Fun fact &#8211; she</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> interned at </span><a href="https://tripuniq.com/?currency=USD"><span style="font-weight: 400;">TripUniq</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, a travel app, in Barcelona for two months during her junior year at the </span><a href="https://www.udel.edu/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">University of Delaware</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. While in Spain, she stayed at a homestay where she developed her Spanish skills and learned more about the culture.</span></p>

<p><b>WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT NETELIXIR?</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“It lets me develop my skills in a lot of different areas,” she said. “I get to work in customer service, marketing, and do a little bit of content, as well. Working on such a small team, I get to see how my contributions directly affect the company and the software.”</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST COMPUTING OR INTERNET MEMORY?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Doing those typing exercises in computer class in elementary school.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT PROFESSION, OTHER THAN YOUR OWN, WOULD YOU LIKE TO ATTEMPT?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: I’ve always been interested in art. When I was younger I always wanted to be a fashion designer so I have all these folders in my house of clothing designs. That eventually led to graphic design but it all played into marketing and how you could use creativity there, as well. Also, I’ve always wanted to be a travel blogger. How cool would it be to be paid to travel?</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST SCREEN NAME?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Track95runner and I made it before I started doing track in middle school. Once I started doing my races, I actually came in last place every time so I quickly changed that screenname. </span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE OR BOOK?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: The </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Harry Potter</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> series. I love all of the books. I would read them the week they came out and finish them. I’ve also loved the movies. I still, to this day, watch them at least once a year…(but really it’s once a </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">month</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">). </span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR HIDDEN TALENT?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: I really like to paint! I’ve always liked to paint in acrylics. I actually opened up an </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Etsy shop</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in high school. Now I pretty much just do it for fun but I took an oil painting class my senior year of college and I got really interested in that so I do that a lot, as well.</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT DOES YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AT WORK LOOK LIKE?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A:</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">I divide most of my time during the day answering client questions, posting to our social channels, writing for the </span><a href="https://lxrguide.com/blog/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">LXRGuide blog</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and working on some marketing initiatives. </span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT’S ONE THING YOU’VE LEARNED FROM YOUR ROLE?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: One big thing I’ve learned is time management. I do juggle a lot in the role. I was never one to use calendars in the past, but now I’ve definitely become a big fan of calendars, planning out all of my meetings, and setting reminders for anything that’s due.</span></p>

<p><b>IN THE PAST, HOW HAVE YOU OVERCOME THE CHALLENGE OF A CLIENT NOT BEING KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE SEARCH MARKETING SPACE?</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“I love analogies. They are perfect for this industry,” he said. “The best way to overcome the lack of knowledge is to acknowledge the fear that lies within it. It is human nature to fear what you don’t understand. I sense that clients tend to fear this industry because of the bad rap it received a decade ago and how it continues to change constantly. If you can get past this fear, you can be open to our solutions.”</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING AT NETELIXIR?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: I think culturally, it’s enjoyable, [especially] in the fact that we specifically get the freedom to make our own decisions. We’re a small company but we’re growing rapidly and I like how our decisions on the employee-level really affect the company as a whole. It’s a great learning experience but also an impactful experience.</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ASPECT OF YOUR JOB?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: When all the research comes together to carve out a successful strategy from an outside-the-box analysis that makes clients go, “WOW! I never thought of it like that before!” </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You just feel that expertise coming through and that the client truly trusts that this is where they want to put their business. It’s just a really rewarding experience.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST COMPUTING OR INTERNET MEMORY?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: My dad worked with computers so while many of my classmates still hand wrote their essays, I brought mine in on an old dot matrix printer.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: The </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Indiana Jones</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> trilogy. The fourth one is okay but I still consider the first three to be the quintessential </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Indiana Jones</span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;"> movies.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT IS YOUR HIDDEN TALENT?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: With my love of American history and being from Philadelphia, I can give a walking tour of Philadelphia. I’ve done it on three occasions and it’s just from my own innate knowledge of history and the city. I’ve done it for my family and friends and it’s always a good time.</span></p>

<h3><b>Q: SO YOU WENT FROM WORKING ON OUR CLIENT SERVICES TEAM TO THE GROWTH TEAM. CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE TRANSITION AND HOW YOUR WORK CHANGED?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Honestly, it’s been a great transition for me. I love the clients I worked with in Client Services. By having that experience getting exposed to a lot of different problems over my time working with those clients in a lot of different industries and coming up with solutions with the clients, I was able to bring that knowledge over to Business Development side. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now, when I’m talking to the client who is just meeting NetElixir for the first time, we can get right into their challenges and nine times out of ten, I’ve seen or heard their challenges before just from my previous experience. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It becomes a very useful dialogue back and forth to be able to bring that experience further to be able to help them. I think it further shows the expertise that we bring here at NetElixir in being able to really solve any and all challenges that our clients face.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM YOUR CAREER JOURNEY SO FAR?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: (1) People are an invaluable resource and thus, people skills are a necessity. (2) Patience is a virtue, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. (3) Never stop challenging yourself. </span></p>
<h3><b>Q: HOW DO YOU KNOW IF A CLIENT NEEDS CERTAIN SERVICES BEFORE YOU REACH OUT TO THEM?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: We are lucky to have great 3rd party partners that allow us to get a surface level or tip of the iceberg view of each client before we speak to them.</span></p>
<h3><b>Q: YOU TALK TO CLIENTS A LOT. WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE WHEN IT COMES TO INTERACTING WITH CLIENTS IN PERSON OR ON THE PHONE?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Be relatable, patient, and listen respectfully. Always own what you are confident in. That confidence will be seen by the client.</span></p>

<h4><strong>How should retail brands go about advertising on social?</strong></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Having fun and not being so serious, really showcasing who they are as a brand, what their beliefs are, and what they stand for,” she said. “Social media is fun so it shouldn’t be too sales related and brands should engage with customers or prospects.”</span></p>

<h4><b>Q: What do you like about working at NetElixir?</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: It’s a really fun environment and people are always willing to help you even if they’re not in your department.</span></p>
<h4><b>Q: What is your favorite aspect of your job?</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Social media is always changing. There’s always so much to learn and I also really like interacting with clients, as well.</span></p>
<h4><b>Q: What are the most important qualities needed for success?</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: To be a problem solver and to be hard-working.</span></p>
<h4><b>Q: What profession, other than your own would you like to attempt? Why?</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Either a lawyer or an FBI agent.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">FBI agent because I love Law &amp; Order and when I was younger, I always wanted to be a lawyer for some reason.</span></p>
<h4><b>Q: If you could be a superhero, what would your superpowers be?</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: To be able to teleport. </span></p>
<h4><b>Q: Why did you originally get interested in social media advertising?</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: Kind of on accident. I was applying for internships for public relations because that was my major and then I came across a ton of social media internships so I decided to do one (Social Media and Marketing). Ever since then, I just stuck with it. </span></p>
<h4><b>Q: Why should brands choose to advertise on social media?</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: To build a brand presence, to engage with current customers and new customers, and basically to have fun showing off your brand. </span></p>
<h4><b>Q: How does social media advertising compare to traditional methods of advertising? Do you think it’s better or worse?</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: I wouldn’t say it’s better or worse &#8211; it’s just different. It’s more fun. It’s a place where you can showcase your brand as opposed to being so revenue focused. It’s a chance to engage with customers.</span></p>

<h4><b>Q: Are there certain platforms that yield greater success for advertisers over others?</b></h4>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A: There are definitely certain platforms that yield more success for certain retailers. For example, if the audience skews younger, Instagram would be a better platform, as well as Pinterest. We see a lot of success with certain retailers, like clothing brands who do well on Pinterest because people look there for inspiration. On the contrast, Facebook is still a great platform to advertise when the age demographics are more like 35+.</span></p>
